CARDIFF and Vale's under-16 netball squads have emerged victorious at the Welsh U16 Inter-Counties Championships.
Both the 'A' and 'B' sides won their respective tournaments, remaining unbeaten throughout the championships which took place on Saturday, January 20.
The squad of 28 players were selected in September from all of the secondary schools in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, with the squad split in half to represent the region as an 'A' and a 'B' side.
The A Squad began with a tough encounter against a talented NE Side but kept their composure to secure the win. The girls set their mark for the tournament and were formidable in beating ANT and GV, playing some outstanding netball to beat all the Welsh Counties to secure the Welsh title.
The B squad performed equally well, winning all their matches by some margin and showing excellent composure to become well deserved Welsh Champions.
