DINAS Powys Cricket Club1st XI entertained Pontymister & Crosskeys at Bryn y Don.
Batting first, the Villagers made 159-7 I s match reduced to 40 overs because of the weather. Lewis Clarke top scored with 44 as the home side were unable to inject any pace and urgency into their innings.
In reply, the visitors reached their target for the loss of 5 wickets in the 37th over, Clarke with the best of the bowling figures returning 2-20 in his eight overs.
The 2nds travelled to Rogerstone. The home side won the toss and batted, but Dinas restricted them to just 100 all out. Young Jacob Hatcher was the pick of the bowlers with 3-14, and wily old veteran John Clogg returned 3-16, and the steadily improving Nathan Waite 2-23. In reply, Dinas Captain Jeff Mitchell with an unbeaten 40 and Alun Harris with an unbeaten 35 saw the Villagers home by 10 wickets inside 16 overs.
The 3rds away game against Panteg was called off as the Panteg were unable to raise a side.
