WITH only 11 fixtures left in the Top Division, Mark Stevens has to play 5 of them, and holds the key to the outcome of the qualifiers for finals night, 3 out the 4 places are still to fight for.

Matt Stanger booked his place on finals night with the point he needed, against James Johnstone, with 2 games to spare.

James must win his last game against Mark, and hope other results go his way to take a place.

In fact the games should go to the wire, with all 7 players still in the hunt.

John Nowland picked up 3 points in 2 games against Carwyn Evans, to enhance his chances, whilst Carwyn also took a point off Alan Oliver, who hit a maximum in their game.

Anthony Adams is on 14 points, with Lee Lewis on 12, and James and Alan both on 11. Mark with his games in hand can leapfrog them, but the pressures on.

The Mutineers are a nearly done.

With only 3 fixtures remaining, Neil Thomas, Paul Cox and Paul Green have all qualified. Neil won 3-0 to confirm the top spot, against Grant Coombes.

Grant still has a chance, with 1 game remaining, after beating his main rival Russ Edwards. Russ had 4 games, on the night, but, only managed to pick up 3 points, making his last fixture, against Nathan Rosser an intriguing affair.

Nathan needs to beat Russ to set up a shoot out with him, and if Grant wins against the Sparkle he’ll be involved in a 3 way battle for 4th spot on finals night.

Singles Quarter-finals

Mo Cox defeated Carwyn Evans, 3-1, with consistent scoring and devastating finishing, to book his place in the last 4 on finals night, joining Alan Oliver, Mark Stevens and James Johnstone.

Blind Pairs Quarter-finals

James Johnstone and partner Neil Thomas proved a formidable pairing as they brushed aside Matt Stanger and Carwyn Evans by 4 legs to 1.

The other game went to a last leg decider as John Nowland, 16 dart leg, and Grant Coombes scraped through at the expense of Mo Cox and the Sparkle. The 3rd and 4th quarters are to be played this week.

The Ladies

Only 1 game for the Ladies as Laura Webbe turned the form book upside down in beating Kate Pridham 2-0.

Qualification for finals night is now anybody’s with 7 fixtures left to play, with the returning Louise Stevens having to play the majority of them.

We are on 49 x 180 scores. Who will bag the magical 50th?
