THE culmination of the ladies summer indoor 3 wood pairs competition took place on with Sandra Whitfield and Daphne Harrison pitched against Cynthia Conway ans Christine Morris.
After an enthralling battle played in great spirits, Cynthia and Christine emerged as winners by 13 shots to 10.
The competition runs throughout the summer months and is contested on either a Monday, Thursday or Saturday morning when this popular ladies session meets. Each session starts at 10am and is a very sociable and friendly two hours. Organiser Joan Miller regularly welcomes new members and offers an open invitation to interested ladies to come along.
An offshoot of the bowls is fund raising efforts to raise monies for the Marie Curie Penarth and District fund raising group in aid of Holme Towers.
