Greenaway Autos Singles Darts League round-up

MATT Stanger and Mark Stevens cement their places at the top of the table, both with a couple of 3-0 results, after the Christmas break.

With their main challengers taking an extra week off, they both pull a few points clear in their quest to gain their places in the Top Division after the split, in four weeks' time.

Mark also hit his fifth ton plus out with a 105 checkout against The Sparkle.

Dai Randall also had a productive evening in beating Paul Jenkins and Steve Turnbull, again without reply, 3-0, to move up a couple of places in the table.

Paul then produced an excellent display, including a 112 out shot, in a comprehensive win over Mo Cox. Steve also overcame Mo, but went down to Paul Cox by 3-1, in a catch up game.

This result sees Paul move in the right direction.

A 118 out from Nathan Rosser was the highlight of an excellent draw with James Johnstone, the only 2-2 of the night, surprisingly.

The Charity Darts Event

This was part one of a series of events in our fund raising for our charity, MacMillan.

A fun night of darts started with the defending league champion Mark Stevens being ousted, in round one, by a very excitable Anne Hudson, who then went in round two (job done).

This first game of the night saw Dai Randall come out on top over Paul Jenkins as the last man standing.

Mark, made his mark, in the second event going all the way, and saving face, in the one-leg shootout, taking out Mark Williams in the final.

Thanks to all that attended, and a special thanks to Lindy and Ian Hartley, Penarth League, for their kind donation to the fund.

Further events will be announced throughout the year, watch this space.
