Greenaway Autos Darts Singles League round-up
SUNDAY saw the return, after a lengthy lay off through injury, of John Nowland.
His first game of the night produced a rusty performance in a loss to Neil Thomas without taking a leg.
However, his next two games, including 15 and 16 dart legs, against Mark Stevens and Steve Turnbull respectively, were both won 3-0, to get his season up and running.
Neil went on to win 3-1 against Paul Jenkins in a tight affair, and was just pipped, by the same score line by The Sparkle, in a catch up game.
Mark picked up 2 points with a 3-1 over Steve, but as been overtaken at the top of the table by Matt Stanger, who also beat Steve and Paul.
Dai Randall with a 17 dart leg overcame a lack lustre Alan Oliver, 3-0, and also beat Nathan Rosser by 3-1 with Nathan hitting a 18 darter, to move up 3 places, and cement his place at the right end of the table. Nathan and Alan fought out an excellent draw, this point moves Nathan up 2 places.
This week 20 fixtures are to be played, with returning players, after an extended break, rejoining the fold.
