THE divisional cups took centre stage with the attention on the ASRS, Supporters and Dockers Cups, these cups are of huge historical importance to the Vale league.

Six of the ten ties survived the weather and here is the round up.

Island Marine secured a place in the final four of the Premier Division’s historic ASRS Cup with a 4-1 victory over Sully Sports.

Island Marine join Penarth Town and Cowbridge Town in the semis with St Athan and Rhoose rearranged for a few weeks time.

The Supporters Cup, which contests division one sides, saw a thriller with Holton Road coming back from 3-1 down to triumph 4-3 against Tynewydd in a classic cup tie.

Cadoxton Imps romped to a 5-0 victory over SP Billy and you may presume Jamie Livingstone was amongst the goals, and you would be correct as he ventured into the opposition area to score four of the goals.

Cwm Talwg edged out Cardiff Airport in another cup corker 3-2 to make the semi finals. Only Cogan vs Cadoxton Barry is the outstanding tie to be played.

In Division Two’s Dockers Cup league leaders AFC Rhoose thumped Cadoxton Athletic 6-1 and Island Marine shocked third place St Athan as they eased to a 4-1 victory to head to the semi’s. Penarth B vs Barry Vikings and Barry Athletic B vs Vale Madrid did not survive the weather and have been rearranged.
