Penarth Darts League
THIS week in Penarth Darts we saw teams rested during the mid season break.
However we did have some league action as the Coronation Club A side took on the Ex’s Sparrows in a rearranged match catching up on a previous cancellation.
On the whole it was an enjoyable evening for both teams although the result weighed quite heavily in the Sparrows favor most games were much closer than the scoreline suggests.
Coro A took both pairs with Ian Buckley 100 x8 and Davie Hodges 100 100 125 x7.
The Sparrows took al the singles points through Jack 100 x16 and 10 x20, Paul Stowe 140 x2 and 100 100 x10, Paul Wingren 100 x8 and 10 100 x8, Kevin Murdock x20 and x16.
High scores came from Ian Buckley 100 and Dai Jeynes 100, Sparrows took the team leg with tons from Paul Stowe, Kevin Murdock and Jack Frost.
Paul Wingren hit x19 to take the Sparrows points tally to 9 points to the Coro A’s 2, following on from this result the Sparrows are now only one point behind the current league leaders (the Pirates) with all teams now having played 10 games to complete the first half.
