NEWPORT County AFC look set to be without midfielder Joss Labadie for tomorrow’s League Two trip to MK Dons.
Labadie picked up an injury during Tuesday’s 4-1 win at Notts County and manager Michael Flynn is resigned to doing without the 28-year-old at Stadium MK.
“Joss will have a scan today and we’ll know how he is, but I don’t think he’ll be available for Saturday,” said the Exiles boss.
“That’s a blow, because I was starting to think that he was getting back to his all-action best.
“He’s got a stiffness around the hamstring area and we’ve got to be really careful with him.
“I was hoping to take him off a little earlier on Tuesday but I thought it was important to get another 90 minutes under his belt.”
Deadline day signing Ade Azeez could be in contention to make his County debut, however.
The former Cambridge United forward was an unused substitute for the home clash with MK Dons last week after he suffered a “hamstring niggle” during the pre-match warm-up, but he is now back in training.
