The Buccaneers

Matt Stanger continues his impressive run with victories over Matt Davies, 3-1, and with an average of 96, including 2 x 16 dart legs and a 180, over Mark Stevens, winning 3-0. Mark had a busy night with 4 matches, playing catch-up.

Dai Randall just edged a 3-1, but Mark faired better with wins over John Nowland, 3-0, and an awesome display, including an 18 darter and 180, and clinical finishing against Matt Davies (180), in the final match of the evening. Matt also was out played by Dai, who also bagged a 180 in a 3-0 win, to cement his place in the top four qualifying positions.

Grant West makes his bow this week with 4 matches.

The Mutineers

Alan Oliver continued his recent good form winning 3-0 over Nathan Rosser, but his 100% start was ended, in his 6th match against a returning former Pirate, Grant Coombes, who gained his first point in a 2-2 draw.

Grant went on to beat an inspired Marissa 3-1, then another draw against Steve Turnbull to take his first week tally to 4 points and move him to 5th in the table.

Paul’s Cox and Jenkins couldn’t be separated in a keenly contested 2-2 draw, then both went on to win their next match, over Marissa and Nathan respectively, to both move into the top 4.

Steve Turnbull also won his last match to move to an impressive 3rd at this early stage in the second half.

The singles draw will be made this Friday prior to games commencing. All rounds are an open draw and are the best of 7 upto the final, which is 9 legs.
