THERE were 12 matches played this week, three maximums scores and two high outs, and plenty of ton pluses along the way, in a very competitive week.
The Buccaneers
Grant West made his bow, in the second half, hitting a 180 in the opening leg, only to go down to the inform Dai Randall 3-1. Mark Stevens and James Johnstone served in up a treat in the second game, with Mark bagging his fourth maximum of the season in a close 2-2 draw.
Mark then took his form into his next game overcoming Grant by 3-1, with some excellent finishing. Dai and James drew the next 2-2, in a high scoring and clinical finishing game.
The last match of the night saw Grant claim his first point in yet another draw for James. James has drawn 4 out of his 5 games, and holds onto fourth spot in the table.
The Mutineers
Paul Cox got the night off to a great start taking the opening leg of his game with Grant Coombes with a 101 checkout, going on to win 3-1.
Paul Jenkins and Alan Oliver fought out a brilliant game, with Paul hitting his third maximum of the season, in a keenly contested 2-2.
However, Mr Jenkins then contrived to lose 3-0, to Grant, who steadied himself after his earlier defeat.
Alan then beat a rejuvenated Sparkle, nicking a last leg victory to cement his place at the top of the table.
Sparkle also managed to lose the next game by the same 3-1 score, to Steve Turnbull, who is turning back the years and sits comfortably in the top half, after also beating Nathan 3-0.
The highlight of the evening came in an excellent match between Nathan and Paul Cox.
The 2-2 score reflected the toing and froing that determined the outcome. Nathan hit a 95 out to take an early lead, back came Paul with power scoring to level.
Nathan hit a 135 out to retake the lead only for Paul to hold his nerve and claim a well deserved draw.
