AT the Golden Lion we saw the home side slip to a 5-7 defeat to the Station who are starting to have a run of form, Jeff 140 100 and Peter x10 took the first pairs for the Station however Nathan hit back for the Lion with 140 x8 to take the second.
In the singles Lion took the first four points but that was to be their last of the evening.
Rob took the first two on x3 and x19, Richie took the next two with 100 x1 and 100 100 x20.
High scorers for the Lion were Nathan 134 100 Rob Grant 100 and Richie 100.
Station singles winners were Paul 100 x10 Miles x3 100 x16 Jeff 100 x14 and 100 x18, Station went on to take the team leg with Paul hitting a timely 86 out finishing on x16.
At the Ex’s the Pirates took on the Coro A side and marched into a commanding lead with the Coro A only taking the last point from the team to avoid the whitewash, Mike took first pairs with 100 x1 with Mark taking the second also on x10.
All singles went the way of the pirates with James 100 x2 101 x4 Mike x4 and 116 x20 Sparkle x6 and x8 Mark x10 and 140 x10, high scorers for the Coro were Davie 100 140 100 Ian 100 Dai 100 and highlight of the evening for the Coro A was Ian Buckley’s maximum 180.
Coro A took the team leg with Ian Buckley 119 and Davie 117 x10, final score Pirates winning 10- 1.
In the top of the table clash it was to be the Sparrows who got the upper hand over the Coro B taking a 9-5 win to keep them just ahead of the chasing pack.
Sparrows took both pairs through John 116 and Kev 100 x1 followed by Paul Stowe 100 and Paul Wingren 140 x5.
Coro B sides five points all came from the singles with Anthony 10 x16 and 115 x8 Lee 100 121 x8 and 100 x8 Neil x5. Sparrows 6 singles points came from Paul Wingren 100 100 x9 100 x16 Kev 120 140 x6 140 125 140 John 100 x10 125 Paul Stowe 100100 x1 100 100 123 x10.
High scorers for the Coro B were Russ 140 Anthony 100 Lee 101 Neil 100 Paul 140 100. Paul Stowe took the team leg for the Sparrows on x16.
