Murch Bowling Club – Ladies Section Results w/c 25th May 2019
Evening League – Murch v Rectory Road
Playing home to our close neighbours and colleagues, who were obviously in good form, our ladies lost on Rink 1, skipped by C. Tranter, whilst Rink 2 ladies fought hard to cut the deficit losing by only two shots under skip M. Clake to make the total score Murch 30 shots, Rectory Road 52 shots. A comfortable win for the Penarth Club.
Double Rink – Murch v Rectory Road
The second match was played on their home rink but it did not bring a change of fortune for Murch ladies as the results were identical to the previous match, one rink losing 8-23 while rink 1 skipped by P. Ayres after a hard fought match lost by only 2 shots 16-18. However the final score was Murch 24, Rectory Road 41 shots. Another comfortable win for our friends and neighbours.
Afternoon League – Murch v Cowbridge
Hosting the Vale Club on a beautiful sunny day, in the 3 rink competition, brought success with an excellent score of 41-4 shots by the ladies of Rink 3, K. Macleod,
C. Real, E. Carryer and skip M. Clake. Rink 1, also won, skipped by C. Tranter; 19-11, but this was cancelled out by S. Mauchline’s rink losing 16-24. A win on 2 of the 3 rinks brought the final score to Murch 76, Cowbridge 39 shots. A comfortable win for Murch ladies.

Murch v Prince of Wales
Murch Ladies, E. Carryer, S. Mauchline, and M. Clake, skipped by C. Tranter hosted the Prince of Wales Ladies and enjoyed a comfortable win - 25 shots to 10 shots on June 1st.
