ON Saturday 15 June, Penarth Belle Vue hosted Murch Bowling Club in a Cardiff & District Mens League Division 5 Match.
It was a very much a game of two halves in that Murch were leading overall at the half time tea interval.
During the last ten ends the match turned in Belle Vue’s favour and the final score was Belle Vue 76 shots and Murch 65 shots and two rinks won by each club.
On Wednesday 19 June 2019 Belle Vue hosted Windsor Bowling Club in a Munro Cup fixture on a beautiful summer evening.
Windsor started well and the match was close until the later ends when Belle Vue established healthy leads on two rinks.
The match ended with Belle Vue 67 shots and Windsor 45 shots; two rinks won by Belle Vue to one won by Windsor and one rink drawn.
On Saturday 22 June Belle Vue were due to play a league match but due to green closures the match was cancelled.
Belle Vue are very grateful to Cadoxton Bowling Club who were faced with a similar gap in their fixtures and hosted a friendly game. Many thanks to Cadoxton for their wonderful hospitality.
