CONGRATULATIONS to the Millwood side who won the Windsor Open Tournament for the John Skone trophy.

On the domestic front, the Windsor Alliance team went down by a mere 2 shots against Penylan. There were rink wins for Lance Davies with Dave Johnson, Roger Ellis and John King and for Dave Howells with Alan Davies, Brian Rogers and Tom Evans.

Apart from that narrow defeat, it was a very good week for the Windsor men. The PG1 team, facing a tough away game at Rhiwbina, had a superb win by 87 shots to 68, thereby securing 11 points and leapfrogging above their opponents in the League table. Matthews, Gooding, Stevens and Woodcock 34-14.

Evans, Thorne, Hope and Hudson 19-19. Flitney, Williams, Lewis and Carlisle 17-19. Ellard, Palfrey, Rees and McLeod 17-16.

Not to be outdone, the PG2 team secured yet another win, this time at home to Rhiwbina. This was a great double for the team having won the away fixture earlier in the season. Leading the way were Ellis, Morrish, Rogers and Howells by 24 shots to 12 (and this after being 12-5 down after 12 ends). Peregrine, Hardess, Cucciniello and Coleman 17-23. Follon, Daniel, King and Davies D. 17-18. Mathias, Davies A., Johnson and Hales 20-13.
