SULLY Bowling Club took four very late points at Windsor on Wednesday evening.

With a good green comes good bowls and so it was as the Villagers competed with Penarth Windsor. Six ends had Sully in front, but on twelve ends it was twenty down. The come back came from two stalwart rinks,H Levick Jones with K Mahoney ,R Nethercote,R Fitzjohn got a three on the last end to win by one 16-15, while the ever reliable Dennis Edwards, with B Curtis,P Neale,D Hotchkiss won a last end shoot out 18-17.

T Murphy with A Kelly,J Hubbard,J Best won four of the last six ends but lost by two,17-19.

Struggling all night, club captain Dave Curtis with E Pryer,B Danscombe,A Rees, only won five of eighteen ends losing 8-23 giving a 59-74 score but 4 points.

On probably the best day of the season, hot and little breeze, the Villagers entertained second in the table Blaen Rhondda.

Over the first third there was nothing in it but the visitors were always hustling the game and started to wear Sully down.

Only Dennis Edwards rink of B Curtis ,K Mahoney, D Hotchkiss, were in control and went on to win 20-11.

T Murphy lost 17-27,B Griffiths18-27,and D Curtis,19-30 giving two points ensuring we stay in div3 and a 74-95 loss.

This week, as the season nears an end, we concentrate on internal club comps with the penultimate league game away in Cyfarthfa Castle on Saturday.
