THE ladies of Murch Bowling Club Dinas Powys have enjoyed an excellent season, being winners of the Evening League in their section, against tough opposition.
The icing on the cake came when Pat Ayres, Skip Cynthia Tranter, Marilyn Clake and Eileen Carryer won the area final in the Rinks against Bridgend Municipal, Llantwit Major and Porthcawl and then went on to play the winners of the other areas.
They played Cardiff Bowling Club in the semi final which they won by 4 shots, going on to play Whitchurch Bowling Club in the finals, a very challenging game which Murch Ladies were delighted to win by 2 shots.
Following the match at Penylan Bowling Club they were presented with the cup.
