WITH the rugby season now in full swing hundreds of rugby players young and old turned out at the Athletic Club last weekend for the unveiling of the new club kit.

This is the second iteration of the club's new sponsorship approach which rather than try to attract individual sponsors for each team and age group sees sponsors funding the club as a whole with all the names and logos appearing on one kit which is the same across all teams in the club from U6s to the 1st XV.

These generous sponsors along with our programme sponsors and player sponsors are vital part of the club being able to provide the opportunities for players of all ages to play, train and enjoy this great game.

The club would like to thank its generous kit sponsors: Waterfront Dental Surgery, PIF, Corner Park Garage, Cab 64, Genero, Concrete Structures and Floors, Mobile Fleet Wash, Romilly Finance, Super Stars, Ace Glazed Products, Southern Insulation Solutions, Nine Feet Tall and Oscar Pet Foods.

Programme sponsors: Curo Advisers, Alan Simon & Co Solicitors, Inspira Academy, Cozzart, David Baker & Co, Osmond Drake Opticians and Victoria Garage.

Player Sponsors: Auto Refinishing Specialist, Top Banana Entertainment, Essentially For You, The Watering Hole, A Carpet Cleaning Service, CAMSAT Ltd, Stuart Munro, Construction Building & Development, Kennedy James Griffiths Architects, Glamorgan Motors Ltd, Howard Morgan, Capstone Recruitment, Colin Davies, Stephen Newman, Mobile Fleet Wash, Penarth Investments Ltd, PenCerdd Music, James Ashley Gardening, Keysafe Security Specialists, TD Electrical, Genero, David Baker & Co, Carwyn Lewis and Oscar Pet Food.

The club runs sides from Under 6s to Youth (U19s) with two senior sides both with regular league fixtures.

The senior and youth sides train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm at the Athletic Club, Lavernock Road whilst the mini and junior sides train and play at the Athletic Club on a Sunday morning from 10.30am.

The club is always open and welcoming to players of all ages and especially those in the younger age groups. As our under 7's coach and former club captain Gary Power eloquently put it recently "Mini & junior rugby is the start of a fantastic journey of lacing up the boots for 5, 10, 20 or even 30 years for some. Whatever level you end up at, you will meet people, go places and have experiences that will last a lifetime. If anyone has a child who would like to even just try rugby then they would be welcomed warmly, we don't put limits on numbers, we try not to put limits on anything!"
