Albion suffered a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.

The Seagulls took the lead in the 20th minute, when Pascal Gross' free-kick was met by Adam Webster at the back post to nod the visitors in front.

However, Aaron Mooy was sent off with ten minutes left of the first half, after two yellows card in the space of five minutes.

The first was for time-wasting and the second was for a late challenge on Jack Grealish.

Right on the stroke of half time Villa equalised when Grealish tapped home Frederic Guilbert's cross.

Then in the dying seconds of the game Grealish played the ball to Matt Targett, who smashed his effort into the roof of the net.
