FOLLOWING a very successful event last year, Penarth Bowling Club are to hold another open day on Sunday 23rd February.
Senior officers and members will be welcoming those young and old to the club to try their hand at the game of bowls.
Penarth Bowling Club has been around for over 120 years and is regarded as one of the most welcoming bowls clubs in South Wales.
The outdoor green is second to very few in the area and the indoor stadium provides an ideal venue for winter bowling.
Bowls is a very sociable sport and the facilities at Rectory Road (below the Tennis club) enhances the social side of the game together with the provision of good exercise.
Over 120 members already benefit greatly.
Come along on the 23rd and be introduced or reintroduced to the game of bowls and benefit from the knowledge and enthusiasm of those members who will be there to help you.
Light refreshments will be available and the bar will be available to quench the thirsts following the gentle exertions.
All are welcome and will be well looked after.
The Club will be open from 10.30 till 4.30 on Sunday 23rd February.
