THIS week in Penarth darts we saw the Ex’s Sparrows take on the current league leaders the Coronation B for double points to take into account a previously cancelled match.

There were plenty of high scores on both sides but it was to be the Coronations night coming away with a 9-5 win which doubles up to 18 – 10.

Taking into account the double points tally, Steve Turnbull scored 100 120 123 for the Ex’s in the pairs but it was the Coro who took the points with Paul Cox hitting x10 and x1, In the other pairs match The Ex’s took two points through Jack Frost 100 100 100 100 and Partner Mark Stowe x5 and x18 Ex’s only managed three singles points through Jack Frost 100 122 x16 Steve Turnbull 100 x20 and 120 x19, Coronation B took 7 singles points through Nathan Rosser x9 and 135 x20 Anthony Adams 135 x15 and 140 x16 Lee Lewis 100 100 x4 and 136 x1 then lastly Paul Cox 124 100 x7.

At the Coronation Club the Coro A team took on the Station Hotel in a closely fought match culminating in the Coro A winning by 8 points to the Stations 7,

Ian Buckley 121 x2 and Dave Hodges x20 took the first pairs for the Coro A

Mel Horwood and Ian Hartley 100 x16 and x12 took the second pairs also for the Coro A high scorers for the Station were Miles 100 100 100 Peter Colley 100 Ryan Long 140 100. Paul Paterson took a pairs leg in reply for the Station on x2

Coro A went on to win 4 singles points through Dave Hodges x18 Ian Buckley 100 125 100 and 140 100 x20 Ian Hartley 100 x18 and 117 100 x4 Melvin Horwood hit 133 Stations singles points came from Miles Wilton 100 x18 100 100 and 100 x20 Ryan Long 140 x10 and x18 Alex Vowles x8 and x16 Paul Paterson hit 100 107. Ryan Long was presented with his 180 medal for scoring a maximum in match play during last weeks match.
