WITH just two weeks of the regular season in the Greenaway Autos Singles League to go things are almost, but not quite, defined for finals night.

Craig Harris kept Grant Coombs waiting to take his place, in the last 4, with a hard fought victory over Steve Turnbull, moving within 2 points of a shootout, with Grant, if he wins his last match and Grant loses his.

With Matt Stanger and Paul Jenkins already through, and Dai Randall with a chance of 2nd seeding, his game against Paul Cox was a tense affair.

Paul played awesome eeking out a much deserved 3-1 victory. Alan Oliver, playing his last regular fixture of the season, against the luckless Sparkle, ended with a credited 2 points, to end a good campaign in 6th position.

Mo Cox ended the night with a brilliant display of ‘throwback ‘ darts, resulting in a terrific 3-0 over Nathan Rosser, including a maximum.

The Pairs competition is still wide open with 5 matches, of the 32, to play. Paul Jenkins all but secured his place with 6 points from his 2 games. With Mark Stevens, Grant, Alan, Mo and Craig all within striking distance of the top 4 qualification, what started as a bit of fun, his turning very serious at the business end of the season.

Grant was the big winner on the night adding 9 points, to his tally, and moving into 3rd spot, with a game in hand. Dai picked up 8 points, whilst Steve, Sparkle and Nathan all got a good 7 points to give each an outside chance of qualifying.

This penultimate, regular, week sees 5 singles and 3 pairs matches played.
