Watford claimed the bragging rights as they beat Luton Town 1-0 at home in the first derby since 2006.

Here's how we assessed their individual performances.

Ben Foster - 7

Had few, if any, shots to save, but worked hard and smothered any deliveries into his box. His distribution was good too.

Jeremy Ngakia - 7.5

Yet another terrific performance from Ngakia, who looks a really shrewd investment.

Craig Cathcart - 7

Solid at the back, kept the visitors quiet and is looking more comfortable with Ivic's passing game. Played a superb ball to set Sema on his way for the goal.

Christian Kabasele - 7

Looked comfortable throughout and had few issues dealing with whatever Luton threw at him.

Ben Wilmot - 7

Every bit as good as his fellow centre backs. Sturdy and composed.

Ken Sema - 7.5

The Swedish international is looking impressive and like a very important squad member at the moment. Did well to set up the goal for Pedro.

Nathaniel Chalobah - 7

Unfortunate for him to go off when he did, although Ivic insisted after the game it is not much of a problem. Controlled the midfield well.

James Garner - 7

The Manchester United loan player has been at the club for little more than a week, but already looks a great signing. Very composed in the centre of the park.

Tom Cleverley - 7.5

Led by example, pressed high and put in a true captain's performance.

Ismaila Sarr - 7.5

A constant threat, ran his socks off and looked really positive. Still a little bit of rustiness, but did enough to suggest that he will be a big problem for Championship teams should he stay.

Joao Pedro - 8

Scored his first competitive goal for the club, in a derby, on his 19th birthday. An impressive performance as well. Looks strong and more than up to the task this season.
