BRYNHILL Golf Club brought the curtain down on the season last Sunday on October 18 when it ran Week 4 of the Barry ’n’ District Cup with a consecutive Pro Comp,

Winners of the Pro Comp were shameless bandits Jon Williams and Mike Fairhurst with a despicable Net 62, three better than 2nd placed Nick Daniels and Lewis Miller.

A complete reversal of the placing in the seasons last club competition, the Barry & District, where Daniels and Millar squeezed the scurrilous shysters into second with a Net 53, to claim the years last major.

With the end of the golfing season proper the club intends to use the break to improve drainage, tees, greens and paths, making the best test of golf in the area even better.

With 2021 being a centenary year, the club hopes things are nearer to normality and it can celebrate it properly.

As soon as the Welsh Government gives the go ahead for the course to re-open following the temporary lockdown, there will be Winter Memberships available for the following categories: Junior under 16 year olds - Free, 16-18 year olds - £50, 18 – 21 year olds - £100, 21-29 year olds - £200 and over 29’s - £350.

The membership will run until 30th April 2021.

Winter green fee rates will be available from £15 per round from November 2020.
