TEENAGE Saints centre Josh Simm paid tribute to his late granddad's influence on his career after grabbing his first tries in senior rugby league.
Simm, the grandson of former club captain Geoff Pimblett, grabbed three tries in the 40-8 win over Leeds with the first one in particular being extra special.
He imagined his granddad, the first player to win both the Harry Sunderland and Lance Todd trophies, would have been looking down proudly.
Simm said: "I'm really proud to play for this club and the players here.
"It is a dream come true.
"I owe my granddad quite a lot. He - and of course the rest of my family - brought me to the rugby and he was always helping me out.
"He took a special place in watching me develop and I do owe a lot to him. Hopefully I have made him proud."
Bernard Platt captured his tries, including that incredible opener.
