DRAGONS duo Aaron Wainwright and Nick Tompkins have been called into the Wales XV for Saturday's Six Nations clash with Scotland.

Wainwright comes into the squad after missing out against Ireland because of injuries to Dan Lydiate and Josh Navidi.

Uncapped Josh Macleod has been selected to start at blindside only to suffer an injury in training.

Tompkins came on in the opener at Principality Stadium and is fit to start despite suffering a shoulder injury.

Dragons front rowers Elliot Dee and Leon Brown are on the bench along with Rodney Parade-bound lock Will Rowlands.

Wales have suffered another injury blow after centre George North was ruled out because of a scratched eye.

That leads to Owen Watkin starting in midfield and uncapped Willis Halaholo being a replacement.

“We were pleased to kick the tournament off with a victory last weekend and to be heading to Scotland with a win behind us," said head coach Wayne Pivac.

“We continue to build and to move forward and it is great to do that from a position of winning.
“It is a quick six-day turnaround this week but we are looking forward to getting back out there.

“We have picked up a couple of injuries but we see it as more of an opportunity for those coming into the side.

“We have to feel extremely disappointed for Josh (Macleod) who we selected to start and to win his first cap only to be ruled out later that day through injury.”
