Cosmeston parkrun saw a number of impressive finishes

A total of 193 participants completed the course, supported by a team of 31 volunteers, continuing the community spirit seen each week.

The front of the field saw a closely contested finish with Paul O’Callaghan securing first place in 19:12, just a second ahead of David Shallis, who crossed the line in 19:13. Joshua Hitchens was the third male finisher, completing the course in 19:56.

Among the women, Miriam Bennett was first over the line, achieving a time of 21:09. She was followed by Helen Sharpe of Penarth & Dinas Runners, who finished in 21:26, and Megan Barrell, who completed the course in 24:56. This trio led a strong showing from the female contingent, with runners of all abilities taking part.
