The season opener for Penarth Belle Vue Bowls Club resulted in a draw.
They faced off against Millwood A at home, with both teams winning two rinks each.
The match concluded with a tied score of 51-51.
Members of the winning rinks for Penarth Belle Vue Bowls Club included Linda Vickers, Stephanie Lowder, Jacqui Kempa, Malcolm Thomas, Gerry Field, Anne Page, Justine Dyer, and Dave Bradley.
The club expressed enthusiasm for the rest of the 2026 season.
Penarth Belle Vue Bowls Club is also inviting young people aged 12-18 to join its Lawn Bowls Academy.
Sessions run every Monday from 4pm to 5pm at Albert Road, Penarth. The sessions began on April 6 and will continue until late September.
All abilities are welcome, and interested individuals can simply turn up to participate.
