For the first time in more than 30 years, Penarth RFC's U14s has revived their famous end-of-season tour to Arras.
Prior to the hiatus, the mini and junior section of the club regularly travelled to Arras, France, with the senior teams still occasionally doing so.
The team, aged 13 to 14, have now restored the tradition, reconnecting two clubs whose friendship stretches back generations.
Beyond this achievement, the squad has also had remarkable success this season, establishing themselves as one of the most successful junior teams in recent Penarth RFC history.
Demonstrating outstanding teamwork and commitment, the U14s secured an impressive three major trophies and four tournament victories.

Their season consisted of triumphs at important events, including the Chobham 10s tournament, the South Wales Athletic Plate, and the Cardiff Rugby Plate.
The team also travelled to France, lifting the Cup Festival trophy in Arras, adding an international title to an already gleaming season.
The squad has managed to reach the finals of the Cardiff Cup since entering the tournament at U12’s, just losing out in the cup final during the 2024-2025 season, and winning the Plate during the 2023-2024 season.
For players, coaches, parents and supporters alike, this season will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the finest in the history of Penarth RFC’s Mini and Junior section.
