In a spirited match on Wednesday, Penarth Belle Vue Bowls Club faced Rectory A at home, ultimately losing 65-53.
Despite the defeat, the team managed to secure one rink victory, showcasing their resilience throughout the game. The winning rink, comprised of Theresa Davies, Trevor Ford, Nicola Holder, and Peter Esseen, triumphed with a score of 21-16.
The evening was filled with camaraderie and competitive spirit, as players enjoyed the familiar challenge of facing off against well-known opponents. Thankfully, the weather remained dry, a welcome change from the previous Saturday's match. Though Penarth fought hard, they ran out of time to complete a comeback.
