THE Football Association of Wales has announced that Ryan Giggs' team will host Belarus in a friendly on September 10.

The match will be Wales’ second home fixture in September, as they face Azerbaijan in a Euro 2020 qualifying match four days earlier on September 6.

Wales have played against Belarus on four previous occasions, the first in 1998 where former manager Chris Coleman and his assistant, Kit Symons, scored in a 3-2 victory at Cardiff's Ninian Park.

Current manager Giggs also scored against Belarus during the same European qualifying campaign, in a 2-1 victory for Wales at Stadyjon Dynama in Minsk.

This home friendly will come at a crucial stage of this year’s international window, halfway through Wales’ qualifying campaign for Euro 2020, where Giggs is hoping his side will secure a place in the competition’s first pan-Europe edition.

The FAW says the location of the match and ticket details will be confirmed in due course.
