NEWPORT County AFC goalkeeper Tom King has been called up by Wales.

The Exiles stopper takes his place in Ryan Giggs' squad for the final two Euro 2020 qualifiers.

It is reward for a great start to the season by the 24-year-old, who has kept eight clean sheets in 16 League Two games, letting in just 13 goals.

He joins Wayne Hennessey, Danny Ward and Adam Davies as Giggs' options.

King was born in Plymouth but qualifies for Wales through his mother.

Giggs' men are away to Azerbaijan on Saturday, November 16, then face Hungary at the Cardiff City Stadium on November 19 in their final qualifier.
