Video/DVD Review: Jurasic Park III

THE DINOSAURS have returned with more bite than ever.

Starring Sam Neill once again as Dr Alan Grant, Jurassic Park III (PG) kicks off when a young boy goes missing after a paragliding accident.

It turns out he's been flying over Isla Sorna, a former breeding ground for prehistoric creatures. So, his parents (William H Macy and Tea Leoni) plead with Dr Grant for his help in tracking the youngster down.

But things go awry when their plane crashes, leaving them stranded on the dinosaur-inhabited island, with no clue how to escape or how to survive.

To make it worse, Dr Grant soon discovers things are not as they seem, with the island's natives more intelligent, faster and fiercer than ever.

Jurassic Park III is an enjoyable film with plenty of action and drama.

Directed by Joe Johnston, it is miles better than Jurassic Park II, though lacks some of the originality and zing of the first Jurassic romp.
