THE guitarist of Jethro Tull for the last 43 years, Martin Barre is coming to Cardiff with his full band to kick off The Globe’s autumn calendar in style.

The Martin Barre Band will be performing on Wednesday, September 3 with support. Martin Barre has been a major factor in Jethro Tull’s success, contributing to over 60 million album sales, and representing an important part of classic rock history.

Martin Barre was voted as playing the 25th best solo of all time in the USA and the 20th best in the UK for his part on Aqualung. His work on the album Crest of a Knave earned him a Grammy in 1988.

As well as numerous Tull albums, Martin has produced alongside artists including Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Gary Moore, Jo Bonamassa and Chris Thompson, and shared a stage with such legends the likes of Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.

The Martin Barre Band bring the ‘classic’ music from the Tull catalogue, committed to giving long-time fans and a broader audience the chance to hear tracks not performed in many years.

Die-hard Tull fans, classic rock heads, and music lovers everywhere unite. This will be one to remember.

Tickets to see The Martin Barre Band cost £15 each and are available from gigantic online at www.gigantic.com or paper tickets are available from Spillers Records, Mojo King or Diverse Music.
