DYFFRYN Gardens will host a series of lectures on poetry, gardening and history on the second Tuesday of each month.

Experience Dyffryn house in a new way learning something new and soaking up the atmosphere of the house.

The first talk will be on October 14 by Phil Carradice, author and host of The Past Master on BBC Radio Wales, called ‘Dylan Thomas-Do not go gentle’.

The series continues in November with Glyn Jones, the head Gardener of Hidcote on- 'Plant hunting and the plant hunters of Dyffryn and Hidcote'. Followed by Bill Jones in December- 'In search of Uncle Sam: Welsh immigration to the USA in the nineteenth century'. Our final lecture will finish in January with Elaine Davey’s lecture entitled 'Sir William Goscombe John. Sculptor and patron 1860-1952'.

Tickets cost £15 each and allows entry to the gardens and a light lunch.
