LOCAL teacher Laura Sheldon will be at Griffin Books, Penarth this Saturday, November 8 between 11am and noon to sign copies of her recently published children’s book. The book which is published by Firefly Press is on sale at Griffin Books at £5.99.
The little Church of St Lawrence on Fort Road, Lavernock, will be holding a Service of Remembrance on Sunday, November 9 at 3pm.
The service will be led by the Revd Margaret Stark and the organist will be Miss Ann Thomas.
Parking is available on the left off Fort Road as you approach the church. Come along for what they hope will be a moving hour of remember.

The Windsor Arms, Penarth will have their new open mic night starting on Sunday, November 9. Their house band starts the night at 9pm. All acts are invited to play from 9.40pm. Music/comedy/crazy, all new acts welcome and there is a free drink for all acts.
The next meeting of the Dinas Powys Local History Society will be held on Tuesday, November 11 in Kynance Hall at 7.30pm. There will be an illustrated talk by Gwyn McGuire on Cardiff Docks.
