THE Dinas Powys Music Festival 2015 will open in May and an exciting programme has been lined up under the new chairmanship of the redoubtable Mark Thompson.
Starting on Friday, May 8, will be a stunning concert by John Owen Jones as he opens a week of musical delights which offers something for everyone.
Performers during the Festival include the Tredegar Brass Band, the Treorchy Male Voice Choir, Cavatina, the Dinas Powys Orchestra and the students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama
These young people on the brink of their careers have a chance to gain the all important performance experience. They have always thrilled their audiences.
Mr Thompson has also been fortunate to secure Sophie Evans who will be singing with the Bethesda Community Choir.
Back by popular demand will be Forte Cabaret who will be entertaining their audiences for two nights.
The final concert on Sunday, May 17 will be Michael Bell and the Palm Court Orchestra where the usual tea and cakes will be provided.
In addition there will be free concerts at various venues throughout the course of the week.
