ORBIT Theatre will bring the gang from Rydell High to Cardiff when they perform the much-loved Grease.

Orbit Theatre, Wales' number one amateur theatre company, returns to the New Theatre this autumn with Grease, based on the blockbuster 1970s film, this musical features all the memorable characters and unforgettable songs that audiences have come to know and love.

Grease is regularly referred to as one of the greatest musicals of all time, thanks to its catchy tunes, vibrant dance routines and explosive energy. Following the love story that develops between T-Birds’ leader Danny and Pink Ladies’ Sandy, it also has other popular characters such as Kenickie, Rizzo and Frenchy.

Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey created the original book, music and lyrics back in the 70s, with songs that have stood the test of time. The classic soundtrack includes hits such as Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Greased Lightnin’ and You’re the One That I Want.

Orbit Theatre has been a regular fixture at the New Theatre since 1969, bringing professional standard productions with a cast and crew of talented amateurs. Their production in May, The Wizard of Oz, was a tremendous success, impressing audiences and critics alike.

Grease comes to the theatre from Wednesday, November 4 to Saturday, November 7.
