FOLLOWING a very successful year of free lunchtime recitals in 2015, All Saints Church in Penarth is extending its programme of concerts in 2016.

Since July 2013 the church has attracted many talented performers, both amateur and professional.

Audiences have been treated to high quality music of all varieties and the lunchtime events have increased tremendously in popularity over the past three and a half years.

This year the church is, for the first time, providing a Spring Programme of Concerts in addition to the week-long Summer Festival Programme and the Autumn Programme of weekly concerts, giving a total of 17 different performances.

Popular performers in the past include singer-songwriter-guitarists John Lewis and Nick Treharne, young talented ensembles like the Eilan Quartet, opera singers Seumas Begg and Stephanie Smith and many others all of whom are set to return to All Saints during 2016.

The church will also be welcoming new faces during the year as well and is delighted to be able to offer young musicians a performance platform as they embark on a career in music.

The Spring programme starts on Monday, February 15, and there will be three further monthly concerts, all held on Mondays between 1pm and 2pm with doors open from 12.30pm. Entry to these concerts has always been free and the musicians all perform for the love of it.

The church is fully accessible to disabled people, there are no steps and a lift operates to the Gallery where teas and coffees are provided. Many concert-goers sit cafe-style and have their lunch while enjoying the concert.
