PENARTH Operatic and Dramatic Society continues its preparations for their production of Sister Act in May.

Ernie is known to have worked for notorious gangster and nightclub owner, Curtis Jackson played by James Hoare.

"Ernie was one of our best informants" said local police officer, sweaty Eddie Souther (Neil Clevett).

"He had been passing information about Curtis Jackson to us for many months. Jackson is therefore our number one suspect".

Officer Souther also named Jackson's three henchmen, TJ (Daniel Foster), Joey (Tom Dyer) and Pablo (Dean Matthews) as accomplices.

"These are some pretty shady characters, and I'm sure that the perpetrator is amongst them".

All four men have been detained at The Paget Rooms in Penarth for further questioning (and rehearsals).

In related news, when asked if he had more information about missing witness Deloris Van Cartier (Catherine Scott), officer Souther remained tight lipped.

"It is my duty to protect our witnesses", he said.

"Deloris has been an innocent witness to a heinous crime. I have found a truly safe and peaceful place for her to stay. You will never guess where I have hidden her, and I wouldn't even tell the Pope".

The only way to discover her whereabouts is to go and see Sister Act, at The Paget Rooms, from May 18 to 21.

Tickets start at just £9, and are available from pods-penarth.org, or 029 2071 2260, or in person from Tenovus, Windsor Road.
