GUITARIST and singer/songwriter Nick Treharne will be performing at Washington Tea, Penarth, on the evening of Saturday, November 26.

Known for his vocals and acoustic guitar playing, Nick is a proven performer in and around Penarth. Since moving to the town 13 years ago, he has been instrumental in promoting the live music scene locally and has built up his own steady following.

Influenced in his early years by Simon and Garfunkel and acoustic giants America before later becoming heavily influenced by the late Isaac Guillory and Nick includes many of Isaac’s songs in his own repertoire.

Nick has performed live on radio and has written and recorded his own cd, Somewhere People, a collection of songs and instrumental works.

Since establishing itself as as an independent cafe in Penarth, Washington Tea has brought back to life the former art gallery and cinema building on Stanwell Road and has recently launched itself as an evening venue on Fridays and Saturdays.
