PENARTH Concert Club will be back on Sunday, November 27, with a performance by pianist Tomas Klement.

Tomas started playing piano at the age of four and is now a well accomplished performer.

He has performed in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields (London), Avery Fisher Hall (New York), Konserthuset (Stockholm), among others, and his playing has been broadcast on Czech Television and national Czech Radio 3, for which he made several recordings.

As soloist, he is often invited to perform in festivals in the Czech Republic as well as the UK, and in 2009 he gave the UK premiere of Vitezslava Kapralova’s Partita for Piano and String Orchestra.

He is a prize winner in national and international piano competitions including the Oxford Music Festival Piano Competition, Concours International de Piano (France), the National Intercollegiate Competition of Czech Conservatories, the International Beethoven and the International Smetana Piano Competitions (Czech Republic).

Tomas Klement will perform at Elfed Avenue United Church, Penarth at 3pm.

Following the concert there will be tea and cake.

Tickets cost £10 and accompanying children are free.
