AFTER reading an appeal in the Penarth Times about the plight of SHUA, Safe House for Unwanted Animals, The Fig Tree restaurant is hosting a fundraiser on Thursday, November 22.
SHUA re-homes, rehabilitates and treats around 250 kittens and cats a year, and is funded by its shop on Barry's High Street, and by donations.
Sandie Guppy, co-owner of the restaurant said: "We couldn't ignore the plight of the cats." The Fig Tree is serving a three-course dinner for £25 per person, £10 of which will be donated to SHUA. There will also be a raffle.
To book or donate a raffle prize, contact the restaurant on 029 2070 2512.
