EXPLORER Scout unit, Storm, enjoyed a pleasant weekend this last week as they took a break from the stress of the outside world to visit the Gower on a climbing camp which both members and leaders both thoroughly appreciated.

After arriving at the Silver Cross campsite on Saturday the group set up camp and were soon off to climb the heights of certainly one of Wales’ most beautiful coasts.

The explorers were taught, by leaders and fellow climbers Monica Herlihy and Andrew Peterken, a range of skills which could be used if they were to take up climbing as a hobby. The group participated in many climbs testing their abilities. The group all said that they had a great time on the camp and all of them would definitely do it again.
