THREE charities can look forward to an elfy donation thanks to a raffle held by the Vale mayor.
Councillor Margaret Wilkinson, dressed as an elf to encourage Council staff to buy tickets for her Christmas raffle.
The raffle raised around £1,677 for the mayor's charities - Age Cymru, Dreams & Wishes and NCI at Nell's Point.
Cllr Wilkinson said: “"I am very grateful for all the support I've received and am delighted with the amount raised for my charities. My thanks to all the staff and councillors for their support and to the following companies for their generosity - Villa Napoli in Penarth; Ledley Engineer; Wilkinsons; Paul Gentile the Jewellers; Izmir Restaurant in Barry; Poundstretcher, Barry; RWE Power; Dow Corning; Waitrose; Huddarths of Cowbridge; the Cardiff & Vale Burial Ground and Unison, VOG branch."
