PENARTH'S Big Brother star Lisa Jeynes is hoping for better fortune in 2007 after suffering an horrific freak accident that sliced up her face, leaving her scarred for life.

In September, Lisa was modelling on a photoshoot in the East End of London when a 7ft steel ladder came crashing down on her face.

Thirty-six-year-old Lisa said: "The photographer climbed up a ladder to try to get some overhead shots of me.

"But the whole thing came crashing down, hitting me across the face.

"One minute I was lying there looking sexy and vulnerable, then this thing knocked me senseless. It was like a guillotine coming down across my face.

"There was blood everywhere. I was rushed to London's University College Hospital."

Lisa fractured her jaw and another bone in her face and had teeth dislodged at the root.

She said: "A friend who was in the ambulance with me said 'Lisa you don't want to see your face right now'.

"When I looked in the mirror, I couldn't believe the severity of my injuries. Doctors told me it could have killed me if it had hit me on the temple."

The accident came just after Lisa had signed an advertising deal with cosmetic surgery company, Body Enrich.

Since leaving the Big Brother house, Lisa has had a breast enlargement and a nose operation.

She will now require months of surgery to repair her looks, costing around £50,000.

Lisa - who hopes to have her autobiography published this year - said: "It's been a pretty miserable Christmas really - I have only been able to eat soft food as moving my face still really hurts.

"Things were really picking up for me again - but now it's as though my life's on hold."

Lisa recently featured in LIVINGtv's Extreme Celebrity Surgery and an E4 programme on the price of fame.
