THE VALE Council is set to host a community cabinet meeting in Penarth later this month.

The meeting, which will be held in the Paget Rooms at 6pm on Monday, March 24, will be open to the public and they will be allowed to question Cabinet members at the end of the meeting.

A Vale Council spokesman said: “A vow to make local decision-making more transparent and inclusive led the Cabinet to take its meetings to the community. The last community Cabinet meeting in Penarth proved popular, with plenty of questions for the seven Cabinet members and senior council officers.

“Cabinet usually meets in public at the Civic Offices every fortnight at 2pm, but the meetings are now being held regularly at other local community venues. They are also regularly visiting communities throughout the Vale for question and answer sessions.”

Details of all Cabinet meetings, including agendas and minutes, are available on the council’s website www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
