A CHOIR of Welsh learners from Barry, Cardiff and the Vale won first prize in their class at the Eisteddfod in Llanelli last week.
Côr Dysgwyr Caerdydd a'r Fro, under the musical direction of Dot Connell, had strong competition from four other choirs but succeeding in winning again after their win at the Llandow Eisteddfod two years ago.
The competition was held in the big pink pavilion on the main stage for the first time this year so they also had to contend with TV cameras and bright lights!
This was the first time for many choir members to attend the Eisteddfod or compete on stage and was a very memorable day indeed. Da iawn pawb!!
