TOWN MAYOR Councillor Martin Turner presented three charities with cheques for financial assistance earlier this week.
Cllr Dr Turner made the donations on behalf of the Penarth Town Council to St David's Children's Charity, the Urdd National Eisteddfod and Bobath Children's Therapy Centre.
He was joined by representatives of St David's Children's Charity and Bobath Children's Therapy Centre at West House on Monday, December 15.
St David's Children's Charity will put the money towards the cost of ongoing care and support for children and their new families, while Bobath Children's Therapy Centre will also put the financial assistance towards its day to day operations.
The Urdd National Eisteddfod will put the donation towards the cost of the 2015 event in Carmarthenshire.
