A BIG thank you to everyone who attended the barn dance on Saturday, February 28 in aid of the Cytun Foodbank and Home Access at Penarth Conservative Club, a wonderful evening was had by all.

They were expertly led in the dancing by the famous band Pluck and Squeeze. Claire Grafton who works for Home Access and represents Tabernacle Baptist Church in their contribution to the work of the foodbank gave a short presentation.

Claire highlighted that although many think we live in an affluent town there are many families who are struggling and need help with finding suitable housing or in feeding their families.

Last week alone about 60 people received help from the foodbank.

Thanks to those who attended the dance they collected lots of food and toiletries for the foodbank plus after paying all overheads £501 was raised to share between the foodbank and Home Access.
